Boston Industrial has been hired by Source International to assist with the sizing, conceptual and detailed operations design for their new expanded facility.
Source International was established in 1982 and specializes in creating high-end seating for customers who seek a blend of design, environmental responsibility, and conscious pricing. Source International is intent on contributing to the wellness of the environment by researching the most environmentally sound practices to minimize impact on our shared landscape.
Source international hired BI to identify proper operation and Lean Manufacturing techniques that were used to help size area requirements for production using a custom designed square footage programming model. A detailed current state assessment of operations provided recommendations on how to improve. Boston Industrial will use this to compare build-to-suit options with existing buildings available to determine the best fit for Source International going forward.
Once a facility has been selected, BI will work diligently to provide the best detailed design to support Source’s operational and storage requirements. Boston Industrial will continue to provide assistance with the procurement of warehouse and production equipment to outfit the operation. BI will provide turn-key solutions including the transition planning and execution of move management and start-up assistance.
