Boston Industrial has been contracted by Reiser to evaluate their current production and support areas for their manufacturing and distribution facility, and will provide an efficient and flexible design for their headquarter expansion in Canton, MA.
For 50 years, Reiser has operated as a leader in the supply of food processing and packaging equipment solutions for the meat, seafood, baked goods and cheese industries. As customer demands and product offerings continue to increase, BI will work closely with the management and work teams to reorganize and restructure the facility for a successful relaunch.
BI’s recommendation was to employ a high-density mobile pallet racking system, a two-floor parts picking stockroom with automated conveyance, and new software to help drive efficient picking. In addition, the layout will employ standardized and dedicated workspaces throughout production areas. Reiser will reap the benefits of distribution operations that streamline the organization, flexibility, and efficient workflow throughout their manufacturing facility.
As Reiser completes the first phase of their office expansion the BI team will continue to help with the procurement and implementation of warehousing equipment, software and production reorganization throughout the second phase of the facility expansion.
